Epson Perfection V600 High Resolution 6400 x 9600 dpi Scanner

Epson Perfection V600 High Resolution 6400 x 9600 dpi Scanner

Review:
I am in the process of archiving all my old photographs and negatives to disc. So far the Epson Perfection V600 has done everything I have asked it to do. The scanning of multiple images certainly helps as I can scan 5 or 6 pictures at one time. The scanning of negatives and slides also seems fine. The only thing I would like is a negative holder for 110 film. To date I cannot find fault and the ICE technology certainly improves very old black and white photographs. Quality of scanned images is better than I expected.

Technical Details

  • High-quality 6400 dpi film and photo scanner
  • Restore film and photos with DIGITAL ICE technologies
  • Make quick scans and save energy with Epson ReadyScan LED technology
  • Scan a wide range of photo and film formats, scan to multi-page searchable PDF
  • Convenient resizable preview window

Epson Perfection V750 Pro Flatbed Scanner (6400 dpi x 9600 dpi, Firewire, Hi-Speed USB)

Epson Perfection V750 Pro Flatbed Scanner (6400 dpi x 9600 dpi, Firewire, Hi-Speed USB)

Review:
This scanner does all formats and produces beautiful scans.

What you need to know.

It comes bundled with Monaco EZColor to control colour, using ICC profiles. You calibrate your system using the targets (film and paper artwork.) You get to calibrate your scanner, monitor and printer. It's quick, easy and produces consistant colour.

It comes bundled with LaserSoft Silverfast Ai. Takes a little learning due to German English, but it's very good once you get used to it. The autopilot settings produce good results straight away. Remember to get the free upgrade from Silverfast, after you have registered the copy that comes with your scanner.

It does not come with the Fluid Mount Accessory (FMA). You have to send your invoice off to Epson (email a PDF) for them to send you the FMA. If you want the very best scans this unit can produce you need to use the FMA. Especially if you have a slides and negs that are dirty, scratched or grainy. The difference after using scanner fluid is amazing. (Look up Haynes Graphic Arts Ltd and ask about the V750 (FMA) starter kit.
The Epson scan software is not bad either, many will find this sufficient to get good scans without taxing the brain cells.

This unit is so good you will be able to get perfectly acceptable 16x20 prints from those old Ektachrome / Kodachrome slides with a little care.

You will be save countless hours in Photoshop by using Digital ICE to clean up your scans.

Product Features

  • The Epson Perfection V750 Pro flatbed colour scanner provides quality and flexibility
  • Scans transparencies and film as well as paper
  • DIGITAL ICE technologies to removes scratches and dust from photos and film
  • Interpolated resolution of 12800 dpi x 12800 dpi
  • Anti-reflection optical coating for improved scan quality

Epson Perfection V33 4800dpi LED Photo Scanner

Epson Perfection V33 4800dpi LED Photo Scanner

Review:
We were looking for a simple scanner mostly for documents and a few photos but nothing too elaborate. This absolutely fits the bill and works exactly as stated. We use it with both Windows 7 and Linux and one of the reasons we chose it was because there were Linux drivers available. The scanner is slim and light, it operates quickly and quietly. It is effective at all the purposes for which we bought it and we are very happy with our choice.

  • ReadyScan LED technology
  • 48bit Colour / 16 bit Greyscale in/out

Epson Perfection V500 Photo Scanner (6400dpi, 3.4 Opt Density, USB 2.0)

Review:
Traded up from Epson 4180 after 4 years of trouble free use to the new V500 from the award winning V Series. Huge improvement on scan speed and resolution. Colour rendition true to Epson scanners, brilliant. When coupled with Adobe's PSE version 7, makes light work of editing faded photo's. Compared to the 4180, the V500 is quiet...........really quiet. Warm up time is almost instant. Well made, not flimsy in any way. Have looked at HP's range of 6 colour scanners which although are great for documents, need a lot of tweaking to reach the instant standard of the V500. Well worth the money.

Technical Details

  • Epson Perfection V500 Photo 6400dpi flatbed scanner
  • 4 scan buttons including scan to PDF and email
  • Integrated TPU with film and slide scanning up to medium format
  • USB 2.0 Interface
  • 3.4 optical density

Epson Perfection V330 LED Photo Scanner (4800dpi)

Review:
Having previously been using an all-in-one printer, copier, scanner I had mixed results with scanning photos.
I wanted to scan old 35mm photos and produce a digital record of the children growing up.
Having read the reviews I chose the Epson V330 scanner as a combination of quality and relatively low cost and specifically for the ability to scan from negatives.
The quality of the scanned images from negatives that are over 20 years old is fantastic and, whilst the negative holder is a bit flimsy, is very simple to do.
Overall I have been very happy with the scanner and can recommend it for quality and value for money.

Technical Details

  • Built-in film adaptor for positive and negative film scanning
  • Epson’s
  • ReadyScan LED technology
  • High-quality scanning at 4800dpi optical resolution
  • One touch scanning to Email or pdf
  • Includes film holders for 35mm film and slides
